Well said. It is clear that there are benefits to adding more fresh fruits and vegetables to our diets - and the creative work of raw food folks has helped me do just that. But the evidence also seems overwhelming that a diet involving a balance of cooked foods is more healthy, at least for most people.

Just found your blog and am enjoying it!

Ev ery meal for me is like heaven. I am a raw foodist since 2003. Of course even I make bad recipes, it's like cooking. Things come out bland, you fix it.

It's so cool to me. I love the way I feel and it helps me see existence better and I live more in reality. It just does something to my brain, feels alive. It affects me like this. I have energy, real energy, and I have cured myself of a pretty much debiliating disease no doctor could help me with before I went raw.

Ha! I have to admit I laughed out loud at your description of raw vegans! I agree, while it seems like it would be a nice thing to try sometime, I don't think I could do the raw thing all the time, I would quickly run out of ideas of things to eat.

Thats a smart sis of yours, giving you food as a gift but expecting you to share! :-)
